Are You Looking for Some Reliable Strategies and Practical Advice on Parenting?
This group offers Moms a safe, comfortable space in which to enhance their parenting tool kit while developing connections with other, like-minded Moms—all under the guidance of a caring professional. Moms in this particular group will learn how to be the parent they want to be, how to structure the family culture to bring out the best in each child, how to parent successfully with a spouse or partner, and how to prioritize self-care.

Here is the Tone You Can Expect in the Group:
- This is a small, welcoming group with 8 members maximum
- I know how to balance the conversation, and lend insights to all participants during a 75 minute, weekly meeting so that everyone feels included
- I emphasize confidentiality at the beginning of each group meeting
- I respect your time; I start and end every meeting on time
Here are the Take-Aways You Can Expect from Participating in the Group:
- An understanding of the adolescent brain based on recent neuroscience
- A better grasp on when to assert yourself and when to yield as your child moves into adolescence
- How to stay close while also allowing your teen the space they need to grow apart
- Specific scripts for setting appropriate boundaries with your teen in a variety of situations
- Practical strategies for managing tricky topics that tend to arise at this time
- Tools for establishing relentless self-care as you move into these tricky years
- Camaraderie and support from like-minded women

The Nitty Gritty
Moms of Middle Schoolers meets for eight sessions. Consistency is essential in our shared goal of building a sense of belonging and trust.
Each group is capped at eight members.

$1,000 for the Eight Sessions
Due at the time of registration. No prorating or refunds.
We will use the Following Three Questions to Guide all of our Discussions:
- How can we regulate our own emotions as parents?
- How can we better connect with our kids?
- How can we learn to coach and influence rather than attempt to control our kids?

Meet Your Facilitator
Cristina Young is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with a private psychotherapy practice dedicated to helping adults manage relationships, parenting, and family dynamics. She has more than 25 years of experience providing professional support to clients in a variety of settings. She and her husband raised their family in Greenwich, CT before relocating to Miami in 2021.
Her true passion as a parent educator and coach is evident in her parenting groups. Cristina received her MSW from the University of Southern California and her BA and teaching degree from Barnard College, Columbia University. She and her husband have three children, ages 18, 20, and 24.
